The scope of paediatric/ child health nursing is diverse. In the acute care settings the length of stay is continuing to decrease, with community-based care becoming more common.

But the incidence of physical and emotional trauma experienced by children, families and health professionals remain unchanged. How do we cope?

What services are available for the child, the family and the health professionals? Can we bring about change? If so how?
